The total import and export volume of Ningbo in the first two months of 2023 is 186.6 billion yuan

On March 14th, Ningbo Customs released the city's foreign trade data: In the first two months of 2023, the total import and export volume of Ningbo's foreign trade was 186.6 billion yuan. Among them, exports amounted to 119.98 billion yuan and imports amounted to 66.62 billion yuan. In the national ranking of urban import and export scale, Ningbo's ranking has jumped from 6th to 5th.

Specifically, Europe and the United States remain Ningbo's top two trading partners. In the first two months of 2023, Ningbo's imports and exports to the European Union and the United States were 33.69 billion yuan and 30.08 billion yuan respectively. ASEAN is the third largest trading partner, while Russia is the fourth largest trading partner.

In addition, Ningbo's import and export to countries along the "the Belt and Road" reached 61.77 billion yuan, up 9.7% year on year, accounting for 33.1% of the total import and export volume in the same period; Import and export to Central and Eastern European countries reached 7.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.6%.

Mechanical and electrical products are still the main export commodities of Ningbo City, with an export value of 69.2 billion yuan in the first two months of 2023, accounting for 57.7% of the total export volume.

In terms of imported goods, Ningbo City imported 5.24 billion yuan of agricultural products, a year-on-year increase of 41.6%; Imported cars amounted to 1.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 162%.
